Zürich, 15 June 2001 - FIFA has taken note of recent comments made by Gerhard Aigner, Chief Executive of UEFA, in an interview on German radio, in which he cast doubt upon the validity of FIFA's budget figures that were presented to the FIFA Executive Committee. FIFA President, Joseph S. Blatter, stresses that both the FIFA Finance Committee and the FIFA Executive Committee (including 7 European representatives) have approved these figures. If any questions remain unanswered, FIFA will not debate them in public, but during the next meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee, to be held in Buenos Aires on 5 July 2001.
