New service for media
FIFA Media Channel to provide additional resources to journalists

Expanding its presence on the internet, FIFA has created the first of a future series of special interest channels. As of 28 April, in form of a separate site, the FIFA Media Channel will provide service information to media of all categories on the 2002 FIFA World Cup" and beyond.

The FIFA Media Channel (URL: media.fifa.com) will provide media accredited for the 2002 FIFA World Cup" with a password-restricted access to specific team-related activities such as training schedules and locations, media events and other pertinent data. Updated on a ongoing basis, the site will also feature match ticketing information, links to regulations and other publications as well as to travel and weather information resources.

The FIFA Media Channel complements the presence of the official site for the 2002 FIFA World Cup™, FIFAworldcup.com hosted by the Internet partner Yahoo!, as well as FIFA's institutional site, FIFA.com.
