RABAT, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Morocco's soccer federation (FRMF) has retained coach Umberto Coelho but sacked the rest of the national squad's technical staff after a poor showing in January's African Nations Cup.

"The federation board has decided the dismissal of all the national technical direction...except its coach, Coelho," FRMF said in a statement on Thursday.

Morocco failed to qualify for this summer's World Cup finals and went out in the first round of the African Nations Cup in Mali.

On the administrative level, FRMF also dismissed its secretary general and director general.
