BRONDBY, Denmark, March 11 (Reuters) - Swedish midfielder Magnus Svensson, who injured his knee in Brondby's 2-2 Superleague draw with Viborg at the weekend, is set to resume training on Thursday.

Earlier reports had said Svensson could be sidelined for up to six weeks.

"We were afraid my injury would keep me away for several weeks but having been examined it's looks like I'll be able to train with the team again on Thursday," Svensson said on the Brondby website.

Svensson, 33, won his 24th international cap for Sweden in the 2-2 friendly draw against Greece on February 13.

Sweden, who are drawn with England, Argentina and Nigeria in the group phase of this summer's World Cup, face Switzerland in a warm-up match on March 27.
