Veteran striker Selimani dropped from Tanzania squad

DAR ES SALAAM, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Tanzania have dropped veteran striker Madaraka Selimani from their 22-man squad for this week's four-nations tournament, which the East African country is hosting against Kenya, South Africa and Uganda.
The 42-year-old Selimani was brought out of international retirement to play for Tanzania earlier this month in their African Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan.
Tanzania lost the match 2-1 at home.
Officials announced Tanzania's final squad for the four-nations tournament on Tuesday, one day before their semi-final clash with Uganda in Arusha.
South Africa play Kenya in the first of the tournament's semi-finals earlier on Wednesday.
The winners meet in Saturday's final in Dar es Salaam, preceded by the third place playoff match.
