WARSAW, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Legia Warsaw's international midfielder Bartosz Karwan has been ruled out of Poland's pre-World Cup friendly against the Faroe Islands next week due to an Achilles tendon injury.
Uncapped Pawel Sibik of Odra Wodzislaw will replace him in a squad drawn from players in the Polish league for the game on February 9 in Cyprus.
Fellow debutante Bartosz Bosacki of Amika Wronki was drafted in to replace injured Polonia Warsaw defender Piotr Dziewicki.
Poland will field a separate team, based on players at foreign clubs, against Northern Ireland on February 13, also in Cyprus.
