ANTANANARIVO, June 16 (Reuters) - Zambian Mishek Lungu snatched a 1-0 victory against Madagascar on Saturday to give his team one of the four remaining places in next year's African Nations Cup.
Lungu scored in the 13th minute for Zambia, who dominated the game despite lacking many of their foreign-based players.
Play was interrupted in the 86th minute when Madagascar supporters among the 25,000 spectators hurled plastic bottles as Zambia prepared to take a corner. Seychelles referee Eddy Maillet initially decided to stop the match and declare Zambia the winners but the game continued after talks between officials.
The 16-team finals of the Nations Cup are to be held in Mali next January.
