RABAT, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Morocco have brought back a strong contingent of foreign-based players for next weekend's African Nations Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea after leaving most of them out of the team that beat Niger 6-1 in a friendly last Thursday.
Coach Badou Zaki named a 23-man squad on Sunday for the match in Rabat on October 12 against the Guineans, who have won only one full international game in their history.
Despite an easy victory being predicted for the home side in the group seven qualifier, Zaki named 15 foreign-based players in the squad.
Captain Noureddine Naybet of Deportivo La Coruna and PSV Eindhoven's Adil Ramzi return to the side after missing last week's friendly because they were playing for their clubs in the UEFA Champions League.
Italian-based defender Abdelilah Saber, who captained the side against Niger in his first game for Morocco in 18 months, retains his place.
