Vachousek named in Czech squad for Euro qualifiers

PRAGUE, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Slavia Prague striker Stepan Vachousek has been called up for the Czech Republic's Euro 2004 group three qualifiers later this month, coach Karel Brueckner said on Friday.
Vachousek, who helped Slavia humiliate Belgium's Excelsior Mouscron 5-1 on Thursday in the UEFA Cup, is one of six reigning under-21 European champions in the Czech squad.
Liverpool's attacking midfielder Vladimir Smicer will be absent due to a broken toe.
The Czechs play Moldova away on October 12 and Belarus in the northern Czech town of Teplice on October 16.
