PARIS, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Playmaker Augustine Okocha, weary at what he sees as the lack of organisation in Nigerian soccer, says the upcoming World Cup will probably be his last.
"I've been playing for Nigeria for nine years and nothing's changed," said the Paris St Germain player, interviewed at the African Nations Cup by French daily Le Parisien.
"When you see that no progress has been made in the structure of our game, you lose heart," he said. "I think this will be my last participation."
Okocha, who played in the World Cup in France four years ago, hopes one day to play his club soccer in England and rumours of a transfer have circulated in recent weeks.
He said: "About those rumours sending me to England, I can tell you that I'm 28 and that I would like to one day play in England if an opportunity came about, but not necessarily right now."
Okocha joined PSG from Turkey's Fenerbahce in 1998 for $36 million, a record for an African player.
