Euro 2004 draw to honour Portugal legend Eusebio

LISBON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Portugal's legendary striker Eusebio will have a special 60th birthday celebration at this Friday's draw for the Euro 2004 soccer tournament.
Top scorer in the 1966 World Cup finals, Eusebio will participate in the draw at the nothern town of Santa Maria da Feira to decide on the composition of the 10 groups which will contest qualification for Euro 2004 in Portugal.
Eusebio da Silva Ferreira, known simply by his first name or as the "Black Panther" in Portugal, is best remembered for scoring four goals when his side came from 3-0 down to beat North Korea 5-3 in the 1966 World Cup.
Portugal reached the semifinals where they lost 2-1 to England at Wembley, Eusebio scoring from a penalty.
Voted the 20th century's third best player behind Pele and Maradona by FIFA, Eusebio still works as a sporting ambassador for the Portuguese team and at Benfica, the Lisbon club he helped to win the European Cup in 1962.
