Slovenia plans hit by injury to trio

LJUBLJANA, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Slovenia could be missing three key players for the Hong Kong Carlsberg Cup tournament next month, the national soccer association (NZS) has said.

Forwards Sebastjan Cimirotic and Milan Osterc and defender Goran Sankovic might not travel to Hong Kong due to injury, Rok Sinkovc, spokesman for the NZS, said.

Coach Srecko Katanec has already selected a 20-strong squad for the tournament from February 12-15, as Slovenia continue their build-up to this year's World Cup finals in South Korea and Japan.

Sinkovc also said Katanec and NZS officials would make a final decision on Friday on the friendly matches to be played by Slovenia in April and May.

They expect to arrange a friendly against Scotland or the Czech Republic on April 17 and with an African team on May 17.

He added: "In the meanwhile we have also received an offer for a friendly with Tanzania which would be played in France."

Slovenia have been drawn in group B for the finals, alongside Paraguay, South Africa and Spain
